In 1998, the first Chevrolet Silverado car was introduced.
The car has received many awards from the most famous US automotive magazines. But AWto became especially popular after the appearance of the car in Quentin Tarantino’s film Kill Bill, as well as the filming of AWto in Lady Gaga’s Telephone video.
The Chevrolet Silverado car is produced in the back of a pickup truck. Model dimensions: length – 5156 mm, width – 1994 mm, height – 1880 mm. Ground clearance is 229 millimeters. The wheelbase is 3645 millimeters. The volume of the luggage compartment was equal to 1506 liters.
The model already has two generations and one restyling. The production of the first generation lasted until 2007. Restyling of the first generation was produced from 2001 to 2007. The latest generation went on sale in 2007. All modifications of the latest generation Chevrolet Silverado were equipped with gasoline engines.
The most powerful of them had a 6.2-liter 403-horsepower unit under the hood, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.
The most modest modification was equipped with a 4.3-liter engine with 195 horsepower, a 4-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The specifications of the Chevrolet Silverado were significantly more powerful than the Chevrolet Express model, which is sold with a 4.8-liter power unit with 290 horsepower.
